Sheena began doing Pilates over a decade ago. After giving birth to her second child, Pilates played a key role in helping a new mom of two recover and in keeping her balanced and together. The more she learned about Pilates, the more she fell in love with it. After living through the benefits of Pilates, Sheena decided to take the leap to become an certified instructor. She wanted to share her love for Pilates along with the long list of benefits with other people. Sheena is a Stott certified instructor on all apparatus which includes Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair and Barrels.
When she is not in the studio, she is spending time with her family and friends. Sheena’s favorite things to do are lay in the sun (with sunblock of course) and look at art.
Growing up in the Bay Area of Northern California, Nicky was an active gymnast with a passion to find the exercise to best connect her mind with total body awareness. It was during that search she found Pilates. In 2000 Nicky moved to San Diego and later became a STOTT Pilates instructor on all apparatus, including Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Barrels and advanced education in Injuries and Special Population.
On her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, as well as music, cooking, hiking, and visiting with her family and friends.
Nicky now dedicates her life to Pilates, and living her dream teaching movement through Pilates, while truly believing everybody can move well everyday.
My interest in fitness began with Pilates. After suffering chronic back pain from a fall off a horse as a teenager, I was able to completely conquer the injury by working through the contemporary Pilates repertoire. My interest then expanded to include other exercise disciplines and state-of-the-art techniques including TRX. For the last 12 years, 8 while owning my own gym in San Diego, I have used those disciplines to customize programs for each client, whether it is in small groups or one-on-one. The one constant I see with everyone I work with is the desire to improve. Guiding one through the right combination of physical training, providing motivation and encouraging healthy living to reach your personal goals in a fun and enjoyable manner is my ultimate mission.

Shannon is passionate about all things movement, and has a diverse athletic background ranging from endurance sports (long-distance triathlon, cycling, marathons) to mindful movement practices like Yoga, Barre, and Pilates. She is a certified Level 1 STOTT PILATES® instructor trained on all apparatus (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, and Barrels), as well as advanced education related to Injuries and Special Populations.
Shannon's classes take you on a journey that not only deeply challenges your body, but also empowers your mind and uplifts your spirit. Her instruction blends the meditative quality of linking breath to movement with intelligent, alignment-based sequencing that ensures you receive a balanced, energizing movement experience every time.
