Founding Story
Align Pilates SD was founded in 2019 by certified instructors Nicky McGreevy and Sheena Zoller — two San Diego moms who met during training and shared a vision for something different. They opened their Normal Heights studio on Adams Ave in May 2019, built it with their own hands, and expanded to University Heights on Park Blvd in 2024.
Our Vision
A San Diego studio where every person, regardless of fitness level, background, or experience — has access to high-quality Pilates instruction in a welcoming, down-to-earth space that feels more like community than gym.
Our Mission
To deliver results-driven Pilates classes across Normal Heights and University Heights, led by certified instructors who care deeply about form, progress, and the people in the room. Movement for everyone. Straight up.

Meet Our Founders
Nicky McGreevy
Co-Founder & Instructor
Nicky McGreevy is a San Diego-based Pilates instructor and co-founder of Align Pilates SD. A longtime Normal Heights resident, Nicky began her movement practice as a gymnast and discovered reformer Pilates in her mid-twenties. She invested over 18 months and 600+ hours earning her full certification across mat, reformer, chair, and apparatus disciplines — including advanced training for clients with injuries. Nicky trained under the guidance of Marshall Eklund, an internationally recognized Pilates educator and STOTT PILATES Teacher Trainer who holds a Master's degree in Athletic Training and Biomechanics from San Diego State University. After years teaching at studios across San Diego, Nicky spotted the Adams Ave storefront in January 2019 and called Sheena the same day. They designed the studio together, kept pricing affordable, and opened in May 2019. Today Nicky teaches across both Align locations in Normal Heights and University Heights, bringing precision, warmth, and real-world results to every class.

Sheena Zoller
Co-Founder & Instructor
Sheena Zoller is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor and co-founder of Align Pilates SD. She met Nicky during Pilates training and the two quickly became close friends and collaborators — both new moms, both passionate about movement done right. Sheena named the studio "Align Pilates" to reflect Pilates' foundational focus on the body's alignment. She oversaw the build-out of the original Normal Heights studio as she worked in construction. Sheena's teaching philosophy centers on making each client feel seen, supported, and challenged at the right level. She brings energy and precision to every class, and her attention to individual form has earned her a loyal following across both San Diego studio locations.

Rebecca Vernazza
Instructor
Rebecca is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT), trained under master instructor Annie Stewart. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition from San Diego State University.
Her path to Pilates began on the soccer field at Cabrillo College, where years of competitive play took a toll on her body. Living with scoliosis, Rebecca struggled with chronic back pain that traditional approaches couldn't resolve. It was Pilates that finally changed things, strengthening her body, correcting imbalances, and giving her lasting relief from pain she'd carried for years. That personal transformation is what drives her passion for teaching today, helping clients find the same relief and strength she discovered in her own practice.

Isabella Seroussi
Instructor
Isabella Seroussi’s background in movement is rooted in a lifelong practice of equestrian sports and dance, disciplines that require both precision and expressive freedom. Drawn to the intersection of structure and fluidity, she found Pilates to be the ideal synthesis of art and science. In 2024, Isabella became certified to teach Classical Pilates, and in 2025 she began her second comprehensive certification through BASI, continuing a rigorous pursuit of movement education and a deeper understanding of how to optimize the human experience.
Her teaching approach is informed by somatic experiencing and the Neuro Pilates method, integrating contemporary movement science with nervous system awareness. She views mind, body, and spirit as an interconnected system, and movement as a powerful tool for regulation, resilience, and freedom. Isabella’s classes emphasize intelligent sequencing, precise alignment, and mindful exploration, creating a supportive and professional environment where students can build strength, improve mobility, and move with greater confidence and ease—while discovering the beauty inherent in movement and in themselves.
